What are "avatars"?
Avatars are "ms agent" files. They have an extension of .acs. The avatar is a file that contains all of the movements and lip synchronization abilities for when the agent speaks. Nicole is capable of using any msagent avatar. We have included several avatars with Nicole. However, there are hundreds of avatars available on the internet. Many are free, many are not.
What are the limits of the trial versionThere are no limits on the trial version except the 14 days period. All features and function are the same. When you buy Nicole you don't even have to download a different program, instead you are sent a key to unlock the time lock.

Will Nicole run on XP
Yes. However speech recognition is not available under XP. Microsoft made a huge leap forward between XP and Vista regarding Speech Recognition and it is not backward compatible.

What is a "double agent"?
Double agent is a small piece of software (.dll) by Cinnamon Software. This piece of software controls the movement and lip sync of the avatar.
Do I have to use "double agent"?
No you don't. We feel that using double agent adds to the user experience and friendless, it is not required. Nicole will run in a "no avatar" mode that does not require the double agent software.
What is "WSR"
WSR stands for Windows Speech Macros. You can learn more about WSR by visiting the the wsr page in this blog.
Adjusting Avatar Size
In the area that says "Type Text Here" type in the word "adjust". This will allow you to increase or decrease the size of the avatar.
Clicking the up arrow makes the avatar larger. Clicking the down arrow makes the avatar smaller. Press the escape key to close the adjust button.
